Zithromax is available as an oral suspension.

Contraindications/Special Considerations

Zithromax is contraindicated in the following ways: if you: are allergic to Zithromax (Zithromax Azithromycin), penicillin or macrolide antibiotics (clavulanic acid or indapamide); if you have a history of hypersensitivity to Zithromax or any other component of the medication; if you have a severe or uncontrolled liver disease, including severe or uncontrolled renal impairment, in patients with a prior diagnosis of liver disease, or if you are pregnant, unless your doctor says; if you have ever had severe liver failure, liver transplant, or jaundice with the use of Zithromax; or if you have severe or uncontrolled renal impairment, in patients with a prior diagnosis of liver disease or with a history of these conditions.
